Best PlaceJuice Reviews

The cooked breakfasts are good and we’ve had take away sandwiches a few times and they’re also lovely. Unfortunately not 5* as I was served egg on toast and the toast was black underneath. It was inedible. But that’s the only negative experience we’ve had there. Lovely staff, large menu with lots of choice, and even booze if you need hair of the dog to sort you out ????
Always lovely here. One of the few places left that does an Irish breakfast. Love the big wheel too, value for money and great service. Really good with my kids too
Popped in for a late Breakfast..had a very warm welcome from staff and a lovely meal.
Food was piping hot and the Latte was ????????????
Highly recommend.. Very accommodating to request changes to menu
What an absolute little gem of a place! Staff are amazing and what a lovely breakfast! Will definitely be returning. Xx
Brilliant café. Clean inside. Modern design. Fast friendly service. But most importantly quality meat used in the sandwich on fresh bread. Priced well. Open Sundays and accepts card payments. Will definitely visit again when in the area!
Great place for a cheap breakfast, just don't order delivery.
Fantastic food. Fast delivery and lovely staff
Moved to the area and was going the cafe as my local spot to have a Irish which is the best by far and my mate has the veggie . Prices changed not by too much so you don't mind but the atmosphere has changed alot not as happy as it used to be feel like the girls on the front arent allowed to talk to customers no more, which isnt nice when you walk in as you feel like your a problem asking for there services .Best time for food is Monday and Tuesday when the older lady is on ,her food is top notch unfortunately the veggie has now changed no burger and the Irish you get one sausage and not always get a potato cake the white pudding is very nice but cannot fault the lady who cooks on these days . Through the week it's a mis match of luck if you get what you order if it's warm and of a good quality you hear the staff moaning they don't want to be there and it's just not as friendly as before dont bother expecting toast it will be cold or not come with the meal .Sandwiches are great here too had a couple of ploughman's and you can double up . The place turns into a bar at 2pm which I don't think people know too much about due to lack of publicity but summer last year here was great . A pint for 3.50 how good is that need more beer on tap as only got Carling no bitters . The bared early in the week wow what a stunner (can i have her number?) but she's just great makes everyone feel welcome gets you doing the quiz on the telly all the locals get involved or it's the crossword with one of the locals She really does a brilliant job throughout the week always funny and smiling and you can just relax knowing there's no trouble which you can find in the pubs in the area . Really looks after everyone and does you a sandwich if your peckish and has a listening ear for your problems let's you bring your dogs to the outside sitting area and they really looked after by her making sure they're fed and water is always given . Which is nice to see Different atmosphere here weekend think it's open later also but the other barmaid is pleasant too she has the music on makes you feel welcome and there's burgers chips or a Sunday dinner available alot of the weekly locals aren't there weekend seems more staff and friends and younger people but everyone seems to get on needs a new hand dryer in the men's but for where it's situated its a real good place for a pint best part about it you can get a pint with your breakfast too as it's served from morning .Local to shops and Northfield train station and 45 and 47 bus stops well definitely be coming to the bar more in the week.

Quick Facts About The Cafe Old Mill Ltd

The Cafe Old Mill Ltd is a popular breakfast spot with many positive attributes, but also some areas that could be improved upon.
One of the main strengths of this cafe is the quality of the cooked breakfasts. Multiple reviewers mentioned enjoying their breakfast and even referred to it as a "gem" and "lovely." The use of quality meat and fresh bread in the sandwiches is also praised by customers for being delicious. Another strength is the accommodating staff, with comments about the warm welcome and great service. The staff are described as amazing, lovely, and friendly. They are also commended for being good with children.
The menu at The Cafe Old Mill Ltd is another positive aspect, with reviewers noting that it is large and offers plenty of choice. One reviewer specifically mentioned that they appreciate the fact that the cafe still serves an Irish breakfast, as it is becoming rarer to find. The availability of alcohol is also mentioned as a positive aspect for those looking for a pick-me-up. The availability of a variety of drinks, including lattes, is also praised.
In terms of the physical space, the cafe is described as clean and having a modern design. Fast and friendly service is also mentioned as a positive aspect of the cafe. These factors contribute to a pleasant dining experience for customers.
Despite these strengths, there are some weaknesses that have been identified by reviewers. One customer mentioned being served egg on toast with black toast underneath, rendering it inedible. This suggests a quality control issue in the kitchen and highlights a need for improvement. Another reviewer noted changes in the atmosphere of the cafe, mentioning that the staff no longer engage with customers like they used to. This lack of interaction can make customers feel unwelcome and detracts from the overall experience. The same reviewer also mentioned inconsistencies in the quality and temperature of the food, as well as staff complaints about not wanting to be there. These issues suggest a lack of consistency and a potential need for better training and management.
The reviewer also mentioned that the cafe turns into a bar in the afternoon, which some customers may not be aware of due to a lack of publicity. However, the bar aspect of the cafe is praised, with affordable prices and a friendly bartender who creates a welcoming atmosphere. The availability of pub quizzes and crossword puzzles is also mentioned, suggesting that the bar aspect is a positive addition to the cafe. However, this reviewer did note that the beer selection is limited, with only Carling available. Offering a wider variety of beer options could further enhance the bar experience.
In conclusion, The Cafe Old Mill Ltd has several strengths, including the quality of their cooked breakfasts, accommodating staff, large menu with lots of choice, and a clean and modern design. However, there are areas that need improvement, such as consistency in food quality, temperature, and staff engagement. Additionally, more attention could be given to the communication and promotion of the bar aspect of the cafe. By addressing these areas of weakness, The Cafe Old Mill Ltd has the potential to become an even better dining and drinking establishment.
